A guiding principle in Prism System is that components do not provide any surrounding white space. It is outside the responsibility of a component and breaks encapsulation.

Instead, spacing between elements is managed by structural components. This keeps the system composable and spacing predictable.

All the structural components can be nested inside each other to create a variety of layouts.

Spacing

Prism System provides a set of standard white-spaces. As much as possible, we limit ourselves to use these scales.
